Dogiyai, Bumiofinavandu –   Kapolres Dogiyai Kompol Sarraju, melakukan pertemuan dengan ketua Dewan Adat kabupaten Dogiyai Germanus Goo dan salah satu tokoh masyarakat Dogiyai Fitalis Kegiye, Sabtu, (30/09/2023) kemarin.

Pertemuan berlangsung di Aula Bhayangkari Polres setempat yang dirangkai dalam FGD (focus group Discussion), guna membahas himbauannya Kamtibmas Kapolres Dogiyai tentang larangan membawa senjata tajam dan sejenisnya di tempat umum.

Kapolres Dogiyai Kompol Sarrahu menyatakan bahwa pihak kepolisian yang ada di Kabupaten tersebut tidak pernah melarang masyarakat untuk membawa senjata tajam. akan tetapi saat ini aparat menilai bahwa banyak pemuda yang membawa senjata tajam ke tempat-tempat umum dan itu dapat membahayakan masyarakat lain.

Di Papua, membawa alat tajam seperti panah itu sudah hal biasa, namun membawa ke tempat tempat umum seperti pasar atau di jalan-jalan sudah tidak sesuai dengan tempatnya dan peruntukannya dan sangat membahayakan orang lain.

“Harapan kami dari pihak kepolisian, agar melalui pertemuan ini dapat agar ketua dewan adat membantu kami, menyampaikan kepada masyarakat untuk tidak membawa senjata tajam atau sejenisnya ke tempat-tempat umum agar keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat kita di Dogiyai tercipta,” kata Kapolres.

Sementara itu, Ketua Dewan adat Kabupaten Dogiyai, Germanus Goo, mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Kapolres yang sudah mengeluarkan himbauan yakni larangan membawa senjata tajam di tempat tempat umum.

Dan sebagai ketua dewan adat di wilayah ini, menyambut baik himbauan Kapolres tentang larangan tersebut.

“Karena memang saat ini saya lihat banyak pemuda-pemuda yang membawa alat tajam di jalan  dan di pasar. Dan mereka saling mempengaruhi satu sama lain untuk melakukan hal hal buruk. Kami sebagai tokoh masyarakat akan menyampaikan kepada masyarakat terkait adanya himbauan Kapolres  ini, dan akan sosialisasikan di gereja-gereja atau di kampung kampung agar masyarakat mengetahuinya,” pungkas Goo.

Pertemuan ini dihadiri Kasat Binmas Polres Dogiyai Ipda Hans N. Raubaba dan KBO Binmas Ipda Onesimus Iyawou. Di akhir penyampaiannya Kapolres Dogiyai menyampaikan, sosialisasi tentang larangan membawa senjata tajam di tempat umum ini agar kita yang ada di Kabupaten Dogiyai mentaati untuk kenyamanan masyarakat karena akan ada sanksi pidana apabila kita tidak mengindahkannya.[*]
