Sugapa, Bumiofinavandu –  Atlet Olahraga Biliar, Deki Mote mengharumkan nama Kabupaten Intan Jaya setelah meraih juara II  kategori umum pada kejuaraan 9 Ball Open Tournament Billiard yang digelar oleh Persatuan Olahraga Biliar Seluruh Indonesia (POBSI) Kabupaten Mimika, di venue Biliar SP 2 Timika selama lima hari, Senin (7/8) hingga Jumat (11/8) pekan lalu.

Deki mote adalah satu dari enam atlet terbaiknya yang diturunkan Pemerintah Daerah Intan Jaya untuk mengikuti kejuaraan 9 Ball Open Tournament Billiard pada kategori umum.

Ketua Tim Billiard Intan Jaya,  Ridho M Manuaron,S.IP mengatakan, perjuangan 6 atlet yang telah mengikuti kejuaran tersebut luar biasa karena satu diantaranya, Deki Mote berhasil meyumbangkan tropi dan medali perak untuk kabupaten Intan Jaya.

“Terima kasih kepada 6 atlet yang telah mewakili Intan Jaya, dan Deki Mote telah mengharumkan nama Intan Jaya  dengan raihan juara yang luar biasa. Potensi itu harus terus dipupuk guna meraih prestasi yang lebih tinggi lagi,” tutur Ridho kepada wartawan di Cafe Britac, Nabire. Selasa (15/08/2023).

Dituturkan Ridho, prestasi tersebut ini, diharapkan dapat menjadi titik tolak kebangkitan olahraga billiard di kabupaten Intan Jaya.

“Bangga dengan prestasi yang telah ditorehkan oleh atlet kita, tentu ini kerja luar biasa. Kami  masih berharap dapat berprestasi lagi di tingkat nasional,”ibu Ridho yang juga saat ini menjabat sebagai Kepala Bagian Umum Setda Intan Jaya.

Diharapkan Ridho, prestasi yang didapatkannya menjadi motivasi bagi dirinya dan anak-anak muda di Intan Jaya secara umum untuk berkontribusi kepada tanah Migani.

“Selamat dan sukses untuk atlet kebanggakan kami semua, mendapat medali perak itu karena kerja hebat, terbaik dan doa serta dukungan kita semua,”ujarnya.

Ridho menyampaikan terima kasih kepada Pj Bupati Intan Jaya, atas dukungannya sehingga para atlet billiard dapat diturunkan ke Timika untuk mengikuti ajang tersebut.

“Pak Bupati mensuport para atlet ini merupakan bentuk perhatian dan kepedulian  bapak bupati kepada kita semua untuk tampil di anjang-anjang seperti ini,” pintah Ridho.[*]
