Nabire, Bumiofinavandu –  Sedikitnya, volume sampah per Sabtu (03/06) di Pantai Nabire sebanyak 640,84 kilo. Jumlah tersebut diperoleh saat aksi pungut sampah dalam rangka peringatan Hari Lingkung Hidup sedunia yang jatuh pada Senin 05 Juni 2023 pekan depan.

Aksi pungut sampah tersebut dilaksanakan oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Papua Tengah melalui Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (DLHK) dan Pertahanan yang berkolaborasi dengan PT. Freeport Indonesia, dan melibatkan sejumlah Komunitas di Nabire.

Pelaksana tugas, DLHK Provinsi, Yan Risal Fugu, mengungkapkan, aksi pungut sampah dilakukan oleh DPHK Papua Tenga, Taman Nasional Teluk Cendrawasi, Lisensi dari Taman Nasional Lorensn. Selian itu, sejumlah komunitas seperti Kopena, Pramuka, pengelola Pantai Nabire, satu Komunitas dari Mimika serta komunitas anak Perintis Nabire ikut ambil bagian.

“Kalau seluruh elemen bersinergi seperti ini, maka lingkungan kita pasti bersih,” ungkap Yan Risal Fugu usai aksi pungat sampah di Pantai Nabire, Sabtu (03/06/2023).

Menurutnya, masyarakat di delapan Kabupaten di wilayah ini secara umum dan masyarakat di Nabire, agar memperbaiki kebiasaan dengan membuang sampah tidak pada tempatnya.

secara khususnya untuk Ruang Terbuka (RTH) Panrai Nabire, merupakan tempat umum yang saban hari dikunjungi banyak orang. Sehingga harus tetap setiap pengunjung wajib menjaganya.

“Jadi mari kita jaga lingkungan. Sampah sebelum di buang harus dipila-pilah antara sampah basah dan sampah plastik. Untuk memudahkan petugas yang angkat,” tuturnya.

Terkait program kerja DLHK dan Kehutanan lanjut Yan, khusus untuk sampah agan ada launching Peraturan Gubernur (Pembub) tentang JAKSTRADA (Kebijakan dan Strategi Daerah dalam pengelolaan Sampah.

Perbub tersebut diharapkan menjadi panduan dalam pengelolaan sampah. Ada tiga Kabupaten yang sudah memiliki dukumen JAKSTRADA, yakni NABIRE, Puncak Jaya dan Mimika.

“Muaranya kita harap agar Tahun 2025 sudah ada pengusarang sampah palstik,” pungkasnya.

Selain aksi pungut sampah di Pantai Nabire, panitia pelaksana peringatan hari lingkungan hidup sedunia tingkat Provinsi Papua Tengah, juga mengadakan lomba kebersihan yang diikuti oleh 64 sekolah (tingkat SD, SMP dan SMA), 9 Kelurahan dan tiga Kampung, serta paras.

Kemudian pada puncak peringatan akan berlangdung di Pantai Nabire, yang rencananya akan dihadiri oleh sejumlah petinggi PTFI pada Senin (05/06) senin besok.[*]
