Biak, Bumiofinavandu – Penjabat Gubernur Papua Tengah, Doktor Ribka Haluk, merasa bangga dan terharu melihat Fanita Tenouye menjawab pertanyaan perkalian dari Presiden Joko Widodo. Fanita Tenouye, merupakan siswi kelas IV SD asal Nabire, yang bertemu langsung Jokowi di Biak pada Rabu (22/11) kemarin. Fanita Tenouye kemudian dihadiahi sebuah sepeda.
Momentum itu kemudian diabadikan dan diunggah di media sosial oleh @cecesunandar263, terlihat Presiden dengan mengenakan baju putih kewalahan menghadapi para pelajar yang ingin bertanya atau menunggu pertanyaan untuk dijawab. Kemudian tampak seorang siswi yang berasal dari sekolah di Kabupaten Nabire untuk maju kedepan.
Lalu kemudian Presiden bertanya Namanya, siswi itu lantas menjawab Fanita Tenouye, yang kemudian susah diucapkan Presiden. “Namanya bagus-bagus dan sulit-sulit,” katanya.
Kemudian Presiden pun langsung memberikan pertanyaan 51 x 12, yang kemudian tanpa berpikir Fanita Tenouye yang diketahui duduk dibangku kelas IV SD itu menjawab 612. Saat itu juga Presiden langsung memberikannya sepeda sebagai hadiah.
“Benar. Sudah dapat hadiah sepeda,” tutur Jokowi.
Penjabat Gubernur Papua Tengah, Dr. Ribka Haluk, mengaku bangga, senang dan terharu melihat siswi SD asal Nabire bisa mendapat kesempatan bertemu dengan Presiden, bahkan mampu menjawab tantangan dari Presiden sehingga dihadiahi sepeda.
“Jadi tatap muka para pelajar dengan Presiden di Biak Numfor, kami kirim 10 siswa dari Nabire didampingi 3 gurunya dan 10 pelajar dari Mimika didampingi 2 gurunya. Puji Tuhan di antara para pelajar kami bisa langsung berinteraksi dengan Presiden, bahkan mampu menjawab tantangan dari Presiden. Tentu ini sangat membanggakan kami,” tuturnya.
Ribka Haluk menerangkan sejak 4 Oktober 2023 lalu, pemerintah telah menerapkan pembelajaran dengan metode Gasing fase pertama di Kabupaten Nabire, Mimika, Paniai dan Deiyai. Ia menilai sejak penerapan belajar metode Gasing telah terlihat adanya perubahan signifikan dialami para pelajar khususnya dari segi perubahan karakter.
“Karakter anak-anak kita sudah terlihat mulai berani berinteraksi dan niat belajarnya semakin tinggi. Tentu ini membanggakan kami, karena kini anak-anak sudah mampu menunjukkan dan menepis stigma, tentang anak-anak Papua yang selama ini dianggap tidak mampu berbuat banyak,” katanya.
Ribka Haluk menilai apa yang ditunjukan oleh Fanita Tenouye tentu mengharumkan nama baik Pemerintah Provinsi Papua Tengah. Ia beranggapan Fanita bukan hanya sekedar mendapatkan sepeda dari Presiden, melainkan mampu menyuntik semangat anak-anak di Papua Tengah untuk lebih giat lagi belajar.
“Fanita adalah siswi pelajar dengan metode Gasing fase 1 yang diselenggarakan selama 17 hari di Kabupaten Nabire. Kemajuan yang besar telah dialami pada anak-anak kami, ini adalah visi kami untuk mencerdaskan anak-anak di Provinsi Papua Tengah dan kedepan 8 kabupaten akan mengikuti sekolah Gasing ini. Bagi Fanita selamat telah mendapat sepeda dan terima kasih telah menjadi motivasi bagi anak-anak lainnya,” pungkasnya.[*]
