Rayakan HUT Paroki ke-3, Pastor Yuventus; Ini kebangkitan Rohani

Pastor Paroki Gereja Katolik Santo Antonius Padua, Yuventus Iyabi Auki Tekege, saat memotong kua ulang tahun, Rabu (11/10/2023). – Bumiofinavandu.

Nabire, Bumiofinavandu –   Ratusan umat Katolik dari Paroki Santo Antonius Padua Bumiwonorejo, Nabire, Papua Tengah, bersama Pastor parokinya merayakan HUT ke-3. Perayaan HUT tersebut diawali dengan misa syukur yang dipimpin oleh pastor Pastor Paroki, Yuventus Iyabi Auki Tekege, Pr pada Rabu (11/10/2023).

Usai misa, acara dilanjutkan dengan sambutan-sambutan dari perwakilan Gubernur Papua Tengah, Bupati Nabire dan para pendiri gereja, dilanjutkan dengan pemotongan kue ulang tahun dan “eba  mukai” yang dipandu oleh senior Kerawan Santo Yohanes Paulus II, Bartolomeus Mirip.

Pastor Paroki Gereja Katolik Santo Antonius Padua, Yuventus Iyabi Auki Tekege, mengatakan, perayaan HUT ke-3 merupakan momentum kebangkitan rohani bagi paroki yang dipimpinnya.

“Bangkit untuk bersatu, bangkit untuk berbust sesuatu dan bangkir untuk berguna bagi orang lain dan bangkit untuk membangun iman katolik,” ungkap pastor Yuventus.

Pastor Yuventus, kemudian mengucapkan terima kasih yang tak terhingga kepada seluruh umat paroki itu. Pasalnya, walaupun umat yang begitu banyak didominasi oleh 99 % masyarakat pribumi yang notabene hanya berprofesi sebagai petani. Namun semangat iman gerejani dan semangat untuk pembangunan gereja (bangunan) tidak pudar walaupun secara ekonominya lemah..

Apalagi gereja yang dibangun dengan swadaya umat, lalu dilahap api dalam sekejap. Namun api tersebut tidak menjinakkan semangat umat untuk membangun. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan penimbunan, pembangunan pagar, pembangunan aula hingga rencana pembangunan gedung gereja yang baru nantinya.

“Mereka (umat) saya adalah petani ala kampung, bukan petani modern. Tebang hutan, bakar dan taman, lalu hasil sedikit tapi bisa sumbang untuk pembangunan gereja. Semangatnya luar biasa, karena semangat membangun gereja tak ada tandingannya dengan orang lain,” ungkapnya.

Pastor Yuventus juga menyampaikan ucapan selamat yang datang dari Administrator Imam Diosesan Pastor Marten Ekowaiby Kuayo Pr, dan Pastor paroki pertama, pastor Benny Magai, Pr.

“Kita dapat ucapan selamat ulang tahun dari Administrator Diosesan Pastor Marthen Kuayo dan pastor paroki pertama, Pastor Benny Magai,” ucapnya.

Pastor Yuventus berpesan kepada umatnya, adat tidak berkurang semangat iman dan semangat pembangunan gereja, hanya lantara masala sepele, kepentingan pribadi lalu semangat menggereja kendur.

“Jangan karena masalah sepele atau kepentingan pribadi lalu kita korbankan kepentingan umat,” pesannya.

Sementara itu, Ketua Dewan Paroki Santo Antonius Padua, Yohanes Iyai mengatakan, walaupun paroki tersebut baru berumur tiga tahun, namun semangat pelayanannya sangat luar biasa.

Iyai juga mengatakan umat tentang maraknya penyakit sosial di tengah masyarakat. Seperti togel. Miras, aibon dan sek bebas.

“Gereja, pemerintah, LSM dan seluruh umat harus bertanggungjawab,” kata Iyai.

Sementara itu, di hadapan seluruh umat Paroki Ketua Panitia Pembangunan Gereja Katolik Santo Antonius Bumi wonorejo, Agustinus Pigome menyerahkan Proposal permohonan bantuan pembangunan Gereja ke pihak Pemerintah Provinsi Papua Tengah yang diterima langsung oleh Asisten 1 Sekretaris daerah Provinsi Papua Tengah.

Sedangkan ketua panitia HUT mengucapkan terima kasih kepada seluruh umat, dalam memberikan sumbangannya demi terlaksananya kegiatan ini.
