Ada penambahan 327 kasus HIV/AIDS pada periode April hingga Agustus

Nabire, Bumiofinavandu –  Jumlah Kasus HIV/AIDS di Nabire bagai gunung es. Betapa tidak, pada triwulan pertama periode April 2023, jumlah Kasus mencapai 9. 223 kasus. Lalu pada triwulan kedua Bulan Agustus jumlahnya meningkat menjadi 9.550 Kasus. Artinya bahwa ada penambahan 327 kasus dalam tiga bulan terakhir.

“Kami punya data yang tidak dapat dengan mudah dan dari orang lain, tetapi kami turun lapangan dan melakukan sosialisasi dan pemeriksaan. Misalnya, dalam bulan Agustus masuk September, ada tujuh orang yang datang periksa dan lima orang positif. Ada juga tiga orang periksa, satunya positif. Artinya tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa Nabire akan bertambah di triwulan berikut, dan fenomena gunung es menang benar-benarada,” ujart Ketua KPA Nabire, Papula Pakage di ruang kerjanya. Senin (18/09/2023).

Dengan jumlah kasus di Nabire yang terus meningkat, menurut Pakage, KPA Nabire tidak tinggal diam, hanya saya sedang mengalami beberapa kendala. Misalnya terkait sarana dan prasarana pendukung dan anggaran. Termasuk relawan-relawan yang hendak dibentuk belum terlaksana, termasuk sekretariat saat KPA.

“Sekretariat saja kami baru tempati, fasilitas pendukung termasuk di dalamnya. Untuk simpan barang ataupun logistik (andai ana) belum memadai. Artinya, kita ingin menyelamatkan manusia lain, tetapi tempat yang kita duduk untuk kerja, berpikir bagaimana cara memerangi fenomena ini saja tidak memadai,” tuturnya.

Pakage mengakui data yang disampaikan oleh Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Papua tengah, Robby Kayame beberapa hari sebelumnya. Bahwa jumlah kasus mencapai lebih dari sembilan ribuan. Namun kembali lagi bahwa KPA Nabire belum memiliki anggaran yang cukup dalam menunjang aksi perang terhadap HIV/AIDS.

Termasuk belum ada dukungan serius baik dari Pemerintah Kabupaten, Provinsi lama (Papua) bahwa Provinsi baru Papua Tengah.

“Sejauh ini, untuk Pemprov Papua Tengah, kalau hanya isu menang ada. Tetapi menanggapi dengan melakukan semacam aksi memang belum ada, termasuk Pemkab Nabire. Dan kami masih butuh bantuan dari Provinsi lama,” tuturnya.

Data tersebut memang benar sesuai pemberitaan dan informasi yang beredar, yakni Nabire di urutan teratas. Sehingga lanjut Pakage, yang dibutuhkan saat ini adalah dukungan dari berbagai pihak, terutama dukungan anggaran dan bukan sekedar mengeluarkan statemen tentang jumlah kasus.

“Jadi kalau hanya kita bicara dan umumkan jumlah kasus, mungkin semua orang bisa lakukan. Dan yang dibutuhkan saat ini adalah dukungan anggaran yang cukup untuk menjalankan program, bukan hanya asal umumkan sana sini,” pungkasnya.[*]
