Nabire, Bumiofinavandu –   Pemprov Papua Tengah melalui Penjabat Gubernur Dr. Ribka Haluk menyampaikan turut berbelasungkawa atas gugurnya satu anggota Polri, Bribda Alfiandi Steve Karamoy usai ditembak Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata (KKB) di Kabupaten Intan Jaya, Jumat (19/01/2024) kemarin.

“Atas nama Pemerintah Provinsi Papua Tengah kami ucapkan turut berduka cita atas gugurnya 1 anggota Polri di Kabupaten Intan Jaya. Kami merasakan kehilangan yang mendalam dan keluarga yang ditinggalkan diberikan ketabahan,” ungkap Ribka Haluk kepada wartawan, Sabtu (20/01/2024).

Ribka Haluk menyesalkan atas peristiwa yang mengakibatkan 1 anggota Polri di Kabupaten Intan Jaya. Apalagi kehadiran aparat TNI-Polri di daerah tersebut untuk memberikan rasa aman kepada masyarakat.

“TNI-Polri merupakan alat negara untuk memberikan rasa aman kepada masyarakat. Harusnya kejadian ini tidak boleh terjadi. Untuk kejadian ini kami harap pelakunya diproses sesuai dengan perbuatannya,” tuturnya.

Ribka menegaskan agama apa saja tak membenarkan adanya peristiwa ini, apalagi sampai merebut nyawa seseorang. Ia mengharapkan agar pertumpahan darah seperti ini tak boleh lagi terjadi.

“Agama apa saja tak membenarkan adanya pertumpahan darah. Saya tegaskan mari hentikan segala bentuk kekerasan apa pun di Provinsi Papua Tengah,” pungkasnya.

Ribka Haluk mengharap agar masyarakat juga tidak terprovokasi atas peristiwa ini. Ia mengharapkan agar masyarakat mendukung pemerintahan yang ada di Kabupaten Intan Jaya, yang saat ini dipimpin anak daerah setempat.

“Saat ini di Intan Jaya Pj Bupatinya anak daerah, jadi saya mengajak mari mendukung pemerintah daerah yang saat ini fokus membangun demi kesejahteraan masyarakat,” katanya.

Ia menambahkan apabila konflik ini terus berlangsung, hal itu tentu akan berdampak kepada  masyarakat luas. Sehingga atas kepentingan apapun tak boleh lagi ada aksi pertumpahan darah apalagi teror tembak menembak.

“Apabila konflik ini tidak dihentikan, hal itu hanya merugikan masyarakat, sebab perekonomian akan terhenti, aktivitas pendidikan, kesehatan dan pemerintahan juga pasti akan terhenti. Maka dari itu saya menghimbau hentikan,” harapnya.[*]
