Nabire, Bumiofinavandu –   Pemuda Katolik Komcab Nabire, Dekenat Teluk Cendrawasih, Keuskupan Timika menggelar temu akrab. Kegiatan tersebut bertemakan “Menjadi Pemuda Katolik Yang militan”.

Temu akrab berlangsung selama sehari yang dilaksanakan di Aula Paroki KSK Nabire, Bukit Meriam pada Rabu (03/01/2024).

Ketua Pemuda Katolik Nabire, Arnold Pakage menjelaskan, temu akrab diikuti oleh perwakilan pemuda dari empat Paroki seperti Paroki KSK, Paroki Nabire Barat, Paroki Santo Antonius Padua serta Paroki KR. Selain itu hadir pula perwakilan dari beberapa stasi dari empat paroki tersebut.

“Yang hadir ini perwakilan dari empat paroki termasuk stasi-stasi,” ujar Pakage usai kegiatan.

Dijelaskan, temu akrab tersebut digelar dalam rangka menanamkan jiwa militan pemuda Katolik. Selain untuk saling mengenal para pemuda di empat paroki yang berada diwilayah ini.

“Kami buat temu akrab. Kebetulan selama ini belum pernah ada kumpul-kumpul antara pemuda Katolik, jadi selain saling mengenal, kami ingin menanamkan jiwa militannya,” jelasnya.

Ke depan kata dia, Pemuda Katolik di Nabire akan mengadakan berbagai program. Misalnya pelatihan-pelatihan tentang kepemimpinan dan sebagainya.

Temu akrab kali ini dihadiri oleh beberapa motivator antara lain, Herman Kayame, Yufinia Mote, Willibrordus Pareta, Martinus Taa, serta Pastor Paroki KSK Nabire, Romo Yohanes Agus Setyono, SJ.[*]
