Kota Nabire diselimuti mendung. Di beberapa wilayah di guyur hujan, membuat warga tak bersemangat untuk bepergian. Ditambah lagi, isu-isu peringatan Hari kemerdekaan Bangsa Papua menggerakkan aparat untuk bersiaga di seluruh negeri yang dihuni burung Cenderawasih pada sepuluh hari lalu, 01 Desember 2023. 

Namun demikian, tidak mengurangi semangat segelintir anak muda untuk memadati Taman Gizi di kelurahan Oyehe Nabire.

Sebagian diantaranya sedang disibukan dengan menyiapkan berbagai keperluan. Ada yang dekorasi, menyiapkan sound system, mengatur kursi. Tetapi diantara menghadang kendaraan yang lalulalang di kawasan itu.

Ternyata, mereka yang menghadang pengendara itu membagikan brosur dan mengkampanyekan bahaya HIV/AIDS. Uniknya, bukan hanya para pemuda yang turun ke jalanan, tetapi ada beberapa pejabat yang hadir, baik yang Berasal dari Pemprov Papua Tengah dan Pemkab Nabire.

Sebab saban 01 Desember, dunia akan memperingati Hari AIDS Sedunia. Tanggal 01 di akhir bulan tahun berjalan ini sebetulnya ditetapkan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran global pada masalah kesehatan HIV/AIDS. Menurut Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI), AIDS atau Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome merupakan penyakit sistem kekebalan tubuh karena infeksi retrovirus HIV. 

Sehingga kehadiran Hari AIDS Sedunia ini penting untuk diperhatikan karena menjadi kesempatan bagi berbagai pihak dalam memberikan edukasi terkait HIV. Baik tentang peningkatan akses terhadap layanan pengobatan ataupun pencegahan.

Mengutip dari laman resmi World Health Organization (WHO), tema Hari AIDS Sedunia 2023 adalah “LET COMMUNITIES LEAD”. Barangkali tema itu menandai dampak penting yang dimiliki oleh komunitas dalam membentuk respon terhadap HIV. Bukan hanya itu, diharapkan juga dapat mencakup kesehatan global secara keseluruhan.

KPA Nabire yang dinahkodai Paola Pakage mengajak seluruh masyarakat di wilayah ini baik itu individu, pemerintah, komunitas, ormas untuk menyatakan perang melawan HIV/AIDS. Hal itu dilakukan sebagai bentuk dukungan dan semangat kepada para pengidap HIV/AIDS untuk tetap semangat.

Mengingat penderita HIV mencapai 4.35 jiwa dan AIDS 5.657 orang, meninggal 4.72 jiwa, sedangkan sebanyak 9.669 tidak mengkonsumsi ARV. Sehingga perlu menekan angka yang terus melonjak.

Paula S. Pakage menuturkan, bukan hanya penting tetapi dibutuhkan suatu kerjasama yang berkesinambungan, antara Pemerintah Daerah, rohaniwan dari berbagai denominasi Agama, para Kepala Suku, komunitas untuk memerangi penyakit yang mematikan ini.

“HIV/AIDS sangatlah rentan terhadap semua orang. Karena HIV/AIDS adalah penyakit yang sopan, siapa saja akan dimasuki lalu melakukan hal beresiko. Tanpa membeda-bedakan ras, agama dan suku, HIV juga tidak memandang usia, bahkan seorang bayi yang harus terlahir sehat pun jika Ibunya terjangkit HIV/AIDS positif maka akan melahirkan bayi ber HIV AIDS juga,” ujar Pakage.

Berbicara soal HIV AIDS itu tidak semudah membalik telapak tangan. Dengan jumlah yang mencapai Sembilan ribuan, butuh perhatian dan kerja keras serta penanganan, melalui sosialisasi dan penanganan bagi Kelompok Rentan. Lalu di populasi umum adalah harus tepat sasaran, lalu mengajak semua komponen bekerja sama dengan gerak cepat guna menekan angka penyebaran.

Program “Tri Zero” dari Kemenkes RI yang “Ending/Stop AIDS 2030” akan terlaksana jika ada aksi nyata dengan kerja tepat sasaran.

Pakage mengajak para ODHA dan ODHIV agar terus menjaga pola hidup sehat, Ikuti anjuran pendampingan serta terus bersahabat dengan ARV.

“Program KPA Kabupaten Nabire dengan adanya relawan yang tersebar di seluruh Kelurahan dan Kampung, siap bekerja dan menjadi duta HIV/AIDS dengan hati karena manusia adalah makhluk ciptaan Allah yang mulia,” ungkapnya.

Pelayanan terhadap ODHA dan ODHIV membutuhkan pembinaan berkelanjutan. Bahkan diperlukan sebuah gedung guna pelayanan pembinaan agar terbentuknya ODHA/ODHIV yang mandiri, motivator, konseling dan eksekutor. Endingnya agar KDS bisa saling menguatkan dan menyemangati.

KPA Nabire juga mengajak pemerintah melalui Dinas Pendidikan agar dimasukkan dalam muatan lokal di dunia pendidikan. Tujuannya untuk mengedukasi sejak dini pengetahuan tentang sebab dan akibat dari bahaya HIV/AIDS.

“Mari kita bekerja sama dan berusaha serta berdoa agar bisa jumlah penyebaran bisa ditekan. Akhirnya, melalui tema tahun ini, “Bersama Komunitas kita bekerja sama stop Aids 2030 terlaksana dgn Baik dan Benar. Selamat memperingati hari AIDS sedunia. 01 Desember 2023),” ucap Pakage.

Wakil Bupati Nabire Ismail DJamaluddin mengatakan, tingginya penyebaran kasus  HIV./AIDS di Nabire  yakni  kurang lebih 9,696  merupakan tanggung jawab bersama seluruh pihak.

“Ini tugas kita bersama, bukan hanya menyampaikan dan mengedukasi masyarakat apalagi hanya saat peringatan. Tapi kapan saja, dimana saja, harus dilakukan,” terang Ismail Djamaluddin.

Acara yang terselenggara berkat kerjasama Pemprov Papua Tengah dan KPA Nabire ini, sangat menyedot perhatian warga Kota Nabire, terutama yang lalu lalang di sekitar Taman Gizi. Pemkab Nabire, diwakili oleh Wakil Bupatinya yaitu Ismail Djamaluddin. 

Beberapa komunitas pemuda yang ada di Nabire seperti, relawan KPA Kabupaten Nabire, Kepemudaan OMP2APTP, KOMCAB NABIRE, APAP, AMOYE COMMUNITY serta KOPENA.

Peringatan tersebut mendapat dukungan dari berbagai pihak. Ada Danyon 753/AVT, Tebek Kota Lama, Yayasan KSK Nabire, Yayasan Siloam.

Selain itu, turut hadir KDS ODHA dan ODHIV dan para pendamping dari 14 layanan yang tersebar di Kabupaten Nabire.

Puncak acara peringatan ditandai dengan pembakaran seribu lilin. Nyalanya lilin-lilin itu sebagai arti bahwa masih memiliki harapan bagi pengidap HIV serta bisa diterima dan dapat berpijak di tengah masyarakat. Juga menghentikan stigma diskriminasi terhadap pengidap HIV/ODHA.[*]
