Suasana pertemuan di Kantor Kemenhub, antara John NR Gobai bersama Dirjen Perhubungan Laut Kementerian  Perhubungan Republik Indonesia dan Direktur Lalu Lintas Laut serta staf khusus Menteri Perhubungan Kamis, (11/20/2023).– Bumiofinavandu.

Jakarta, Bumiofinavandu –   Legislator Papua, John NR Gobai mengatakan, perlunya pemerataan pelayanan Kapal Perintis di wilayah di Papua Tengah, khususnya Kabupaten Mimika dan Kabupaten Nabire.

Gobai menilai, pelayanan Kapal Perintis sangat minim sekali di dua wilayah itu. Sementara wilayah di utara mendominasi, seperti Kabupaten Biak dan Kabupaten Yapen serta Mamberamo Raya, Manokwari, dan Teluk Wondama. Kebudian di wilayah Selatan di dominasi Kabupaten Asmat, Mapi dan Merauke, Fak Fak dan Sorong.

“Ini kan tidak adil. Sebab ini proyek APBN. Artinya, bukan APBD, sehingga tidak boleh pelayanan hanya didominasi dalam satu Provinsi, tetapi harus diatur antar provinsi,” kata Gobai di Jayapura, Kamis (09/11/2023).

Hal yang sangat nyata menurut Gobai, adalah kapal kapal perintis di  Pelabuhan Pangkal Merauke, Papua Selatan dan Pelabuhan Pangkal Biak, Provinsi Papua. Dimana Pelabuhan Pangkal Merauke hanya pelabuhan perintis dalam wilayah Provinsi Papua Selatan, sementara tidak ada kapal perintis yang dapat menyinggahi Jita, Agimuga dan Pomako.

“Kemudian pelabuhan Pangkal Biak dan Jayapura serta Sorong, pelayanan ke wilayah pesisir Nabire seperti Teluk Umar, Yaur, Weinami dan Wapoga sangat terbatas bahkan tidak ada. Ini tidak adil,” tutur Gobai.

Sehingga pihaknya pada hari ini, Kamis (09/11/2023), Gobai kembali melakukan pertemuan dengan Dirjen Perhubungan Laut Kementerian  Perhubungan Republik Indonesia. Dalam pertemuan tersebut, hadir pula Direktur Lalu Lintas Laut serta staf khusus Menteri Perhubungan, di kantor Kemenhub RI.

Dalam pertemuan ini, gobai kembali mendorong trayek baru atau Pelabuhan singgah baru di Kabupaten Nabire dan juga di Kabupaten Mimika. Karena itu Pemerintah Pusat dan Pemda di Tanah Papua mestinya bisa melihat soal pemerataan pelayanan kapal perintis di pesisir selatan dan utara papua, Papua Tengah.

“Kami telah disepakati bahwa akan dilakukan rapat koordinasi terkait dengan konektivitas transportasi laut di wilayah Papua Tengah. Nantinya dengan mengundang pihak terkait dari Provinsi Papua Tengah dan juga Kabupaten Nabire dan Kabupaten Mimika.[*]
