Jayapura, Bumiofinavandu –   Komisi II DPR Papua yang membidangi ekonomi, menggelar rapat bersama beberapa OPD, seperti Disperindagkopukm Prov Papua, Dinas Tenaga kerja dan Transmigrasi Prov Papua, Dinas Pertanian Prov Papua serta Disperindagkopukm kota jayapura membahas status Pasar Mama Papua.

Pertemuan tersebut dilaksanakan di aula Dinperindagkopnaker Provinsi Papua di Jalan Percetakan Selasa (17/10/2023) kemarin. Dan membahas tentang bangunan Pasar Lama Papua yang terletak di Jalan Ampera Kota Jayapura. Pasalnya, pasar ini merupakan sebuah bangunan kebanggaan Mama pedagang asli Papua di kota Jayapura, yang telah berjuang sejak lama sejak pasar Ampera dibubarkan atau ditutup oleh pemerintah, karena status pasar ini masih belum jelas.

Rapat dipimpin oleh Ketua komisi II DPR Papua, Mega Nikijuluw, didampingi Wakil Ketua Gerson Soma, Sekretaris Petrus pigai, serta beberapa anggota komisi II, antara lain John NR Gobai, Mustaqim, Nikius Bugiangge, Orgenes Kawai dan Susi Susanti.

Hadir pula perwakilan mama-mama pedagang Papua di pasar Mama Papua, perwakilan Dinas Perindagkop Kota Jayapura dan perwakilan Dinas Pertanian.

“Dalam diskusi kami ditemukan bahwa terdapat ketidakjelasan status pasar Mama Papua. Apakah telah  dihibahkan oleh Kementerian BUMN kepada Pemkot Jayapura, ataukah masih berstatus pinjam pakai atau masih menjadi milik dari pemerintah pusat melalui Kementerian BUMN,” ujar John Gobai.

Sehingga landut dia, hasil pertemuan disepakati adanya pertemuan lanjutkan di tingkat Pemprov Papua dengan mengundang Pemkot Jayapura yang harus dipimpin oleh PJ Gubernur Papua. Tujuannya untuk mengurai persoalan pasar mama-mama Papua, guna mendapatkan kejelasan dan kepastian status, guna menyusun program-program pemberdayaan Pasar Mama Papua.

Selain itu, telah disepakati juga jam buka pasar, disarankan untuk dapat dibuka mulai dari pagi sampai dengan sore dan bukannya dari sore sampai dengan malam. PJ Gubernur Papua dan PJ Walikota Jayapura untuk dapat membiasakan diri untuk berbelanja sayur mayur dan pangan lokal lainnya di pasar Mama Papua.

“Dengan cara membuat jadwal belanja dan membeli di Pasar mama Papua, dibagi dalam satu minggu dan juga ditentukan hari bagi masing-masing OPD di lingkungan pemerintah kota Jayapura dan juga di lingkungan pemerintah provinsi Papua. Artinya pejabat juga harus datang dan belanja di situ (pasar mama-mama Papua, jangan pasar di buat lalu hanya masyarakat kecil yang belanja di sana,” pungkas Gobai.[*]
