Timika, Bumiofinavandu –   Administrator Diosesan Keuskupan Timika, Pastor Marthen Kuayo, Pr menginginkan agar pemerintah segera menghapus Pokja Agama dan menggantikannya dengan Pokja Pemuda.  Pastor Kuayo menilai, MRP adalah lembaga kultural yang akhir-akhir ini dijadikan sebagai lembaga politik. Sebab orang berebut kursi MRP dari cara yang wajar maupun tidak wajar.

Moralitas manusia tidak bisa lagi dikontrol oleh agama, karena fungsi ini diboncengi kepentingan politik. Ironisnya, lembaga agama sebagai pelindung dan penjaga nilai-nilai moral, direduksi fungsinya menjadi sarana guna merebut kekuasaan.

“Jadi kami menilai, MRP Pokja Agama tidak cocok lagi. kalau perlu pemerintah ganti dengan Pokja Pemuda. Karena agama tidak bisa diklaim oleh suku tertentu atau kelompok tertentu, agama mesti berada di atas semua kepentingan,” Pastor Administrator di Timika, Senin (25/09/2023) kemarin.

Dalam rilis resmi diterima bumiofi dari Keuskupan Timika, agama Katolik dari Keuskupan Timika tidak akan terlibat dalam MRP untuk periode pertama di Provinsi ini (Papua Tengah).

“Gereja Katolik Keuskupan Timika menarik diri dari keikutsertaan dalam MRP, sebab tidak ingin turut serta meletakan fondasi yang tidak benar di Provinsi baru,” tegas Pastor Administrator dalam konferensi pers di kantor Keuskupan Timika, jalan Cendrawasih SP2.

Pastor Administrator menuturkan bahwa pada Selasa 25 Juli 2023 lalu, sekitar pukul 16.30 WP, tim dari Pemerintah Provinsi Papua Tengah serta Pansel MRP telah melakukan pertemuan dengan Pimpinan Keuskupan Timika di Kantor Keuskupan Timika. Tim ini berjumlah 10 orang tersebut dipimpin oleh Asisten 1,  Ausilius You. 

“Maksud pertemuan adalah Pemerintah Provinsi Papua Tengah dan Pansel MRP Papua Tengah, ingin mendengar secara langsung dari Pimpinan Agama Katolik Keuskupan Timika terkait dengan “NOTA KEBERATAN dan PEMBEKUAN REKOMENDASI” dari Agama Katolik Keuskupan Timika,” ungkap Pastor Administrator.

Pastor Administrator mengungkapkan empat poin sebagai suara Pimpinan Keuskupan Timika, yaitu;

Pertama, berkaitan dengan proses seleksi MRP Papua Tengah yang tidak benar, Agama Katolik Keuskupan Timika telah menyampaikan keberatan, melalui Nota Keberatan yang dikirim kepada PJ Gubernur  Papua Tengah tanggal 4 Mei 2023.

Kedua, karena Nota Keberatan tersebut tidak diperhatikan oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Papua Tengah maupun Pansel MRP Provinsi Papua Tengah, maka Agama Katolik Keuskupan Timika, melalui Pastor Yuvensius Tekege Pr yang dimandatkan untuk mengawal proses penjaringan calon anggota MRP pokja Agama Katolik menyampaikan surat pembekuan rekomendasi dari pimpinan Agama Katolik untuk semua kandidat utusan agama katolik.

Ketiga, atas dasar inilah, pada tanggal 25 Juli 2023, pada waktu pertemuan dengan Pemerintah Provinsi  Papua Tengah dan Pansel MRP Papua Tengah di Kantor Keuskupan Timika, pimpinan Agama Katolik Keuskupan Timika, menegaskan lagi pembekuan rekomendasi dan menolak untuk ikut serta dalam keanggotaan MRP pada periode pertama, karena tidak mau turut serta meletakan fondasi, dasar yang tidak benar pada Provinsi Baru di Papua  Tengah. 

Keempat, kalau ada siapapun yang mengatasnamakan Agama Katolik dan berusaha mengaktifkan rekomendasi Agama Katolik Keuskupan Timika, maka pimpinan Keuskupan Timika menegaskan bahwa orang tersebut, tidak mewakili Agama Katolik Keuskupan Timika pada Pokja Agama.

Sementara itu, Ketua Komisi Keadilan dan Perdamaian (SKP) Keuskupan Timika, Saul Paulo Wanimbo didampingi oleh anggota SKP Rudolf Kambayong pada kesempatan yang sama menegaskan, Pimpinan Keuskupan Timika dan utusan Komisi Kerasulan Awam (KERAWAM) Keuskupan Timika, Dekenat Teluk Cenderawasih melakukan siaran pers, untuk memperjelas sejumlah kesimpangsiuran posisi Agama dan Gereja Katolik dalam proses seleksi dan penetapan anggota Majelis Rakyat Papua Provinsi Papua Tengah (MRPT). 

“Kami berharap, agar sesudah pernyataan pers ini dirilis,, ada kejelasan yang menyudahi aneka ketidakjelasan dan perdebatan,” kata Saul. 

Saul menjelaskan bahwa dalam tradisi agama dan gereja katolik, dikenal istilah Administrator Diosesan yang adalah seorang ordinaries wilayah tertentu dalam Gereja Katolik  Roma.  Umumnya,  administrator diosesan terpilih saat tahta suatu keuskupan mengalami ke lowongan, dan tidak ada  administrator apostolik yang ditunjuk untuk mengisi tahta keuskupan tersebut. 

Lebih lanjut Saul menerangkan bahwa dalam tugas  keseharian, seorang Administrator Diosesan bertugas sebagai pimpinan suatu wilayah gereja lokal  (keuskupan).

Dalam Kitab Hukum Kanonik juga dijelaskan, bahwa Dewan Konsultores suatu  wilayah gerejawi harus memilih seorang administrator dalam tempo 8 (delapan) hari setelah tahta  uskup mengalami kekosongan.  Dewan ini perlu memilih seorang administrator yang merupakan  seorang imam atau uskup yang berusia minimal 35 tahun (Kan. 421 $ 1 dan Kan. 425 $ 1) 

Saul menambahkan, bahwa dalam sistem pemerintahan sipil-profan, dikenal adanya kepemimpinan transisi. Bupati Karateker atau pejabat sementara (PJS) Walikota untuk tingkat kabupaten dan Kotamadya serta Penjabat Gubernur (PJ) untuk tingkat provinsi, misalnya. Sekalipun mereka yang ditunjuk dan dilantik ini “hanya” sebagai pejabat antar waktu, namun segala keputusan yang mereka buat dan tandatangani selalu bersifat resmi dan sahih secara formal yuridis. 

“Demikian juga dengan seorang Administrator Diosesan. Segala hal yang diputuskan olehnya bersifat mengikat secara kanonik,” tegas Saul. 

“Dalam konteks penetapan anggota MRPT utusan agama Katolik, segala keputusan yang dikeluarkan serta ditandatangani oleh Administrator Diosesan dan atau Delegasinya tentulah bersifat mengikat dan berlaku untuk semua pihak,” sambungnya lagi.

Untuk menindaklanjuti sikap gereja Katolik tersebut, Ketua Komisi Kerawam Dekenat Teluk Cendrawasih, Marselus Gobai dan Pembina Komisi Kerawam DTC Bartolomeus Mirip menegaskan, pihaknya siap untuk mengawal keputusan Administrator Keuskupan Timika tentang pembekuan rekomendasi terhadap anggota MPR Provinsi Papua Tengah, Pokja Agama.

“Kami akan kawal penerapan keputusan Administrator Keuskupan Timika, sejauh tidak ada peninjauan kembali selama penjaringan dan penetapan calon MRP Provinsi Papua Tengah,” kata Marselus.[*]
