Gobai; perlu ada langkah strategis berdayakan pasar mama-mama Papua di Jayapura – Bumiofinavandu/Dok.

Jayapura, Bumiofinavandu –   Legislator Papua, John NR Gobai, mendesak Pemkot Jayapura dan Pemprov Papua , agar segera mengambil kebijakan strategis, bagi pasar mama-mama Papua dan pemberdayaan masyarakat dan memberdayakan.

“Say7a desak Pemprov Papua dan Pemkot Jayapura untuk lebih mengambil kebijakan strategis untuk mama-mama dan pasar ini,” ujar Gobai tadi malam usai berkunjung ke pasar itu. Selasa ()5/09/2023).

Dikisahkan, setelah berkunjung ke paras tersebut, yang terletak di Jalan Percetakan Kota Jayapura, terlihat belum ada hal yang pas, terutama soal pemberdayaan.

“Malam ini saya duduk di pasar mama – mama Papua jalan percetakan, sambil melihat aktivitas di pasar itu. Saya berpikir harus ada langkah strategis yang dibuat oleh pemerintah agar pasar ini dapat berfungsi sebagaimana ditentukan ketika didorong pembangunannya,” tutur Gobai.

Lanjutnya, pada tahun 2018 silam, pihaknya mendorong Perda tentang Pangan lokal. Kemudian lahirlah Perdasi Papua Nomor 6 tahun 2020, tentang Pangan Lokal.

“Sesungguhnya, Perda ini disusun untuk mendukung pasar mama-mama Papua, agar pasar ini benar-benar menjadi tempat untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat (mama-mama Papua),”[*]
