Nabire, Bumiofinavandu –  Ketua Kelompok Khusus (Poksus) DPR Papua, John NR Gobai mengatakan, perlu pemberdayaan Perempuan melalui Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SKB) perlu dilakukan melalui pemanfaatan sanggar kegiatan belajar. Yakni melalui Pusat Pembinaan Dan Pengembangan Wanita (P3W) GKI di Tanah Papua.

“Dengan mengembangkan perempuan kita sedang mengembangkan sebuah bangsa karena perempuan adalah sumber hidup,” ungkap Gobai di Jayapura, Senin (07/08/2023).

Sehingga lanjut dia, Pemerintah daerah  mestinya memikirkan mengembalikan fungsi  SKB dan P3W di berbagai wilayah di Papua, sebagai  basis pembinaan dan penguatan perempuan dengan materi-materi yang sesuai dengan perkembangan jaman.

Selain itu, materi yang pernah diberikan oleh para istri-istri pendeta dan suster biara dahulu, agar kita dapat menghasilkan generasi yang handal untuk 20 tahun mendatang.

“Saya berharap pemerintah melalui Kementerian Pemberdayaan Perempuan serta Dinas sosial dan pemberdayaan perempuan papua dapat memperhatikan hal ini,”pungkasnya.[*]
