Nabire, Bumiofinavandu –  Wakil Presiden Republik Indonesia, Prof. KH. Ma’ruf Amin saat menyapa kelompok tani yang tergabung dalam Himpunan Petani Nyata atau HIPETA di Pantai Menase Nabire, mengingatkan tiga hal penting harus dilakukan oleh petani yang bergabung dalam wadah tersebut.

Pertama, petani harus memberikan perhatian yang konsisten terhadap komoditas strategis. Kemudian harus fokus dan tingkatkan dari hulu sampai ke hilir. Tujuannya agar hasil produksi yang dihasilkan semakin meningkat, dalam menciptakan komoditi khas dan bernilai lebih sebagai produk unggulan lokal.

Sehingga rantai produksi sampai kepada konsumen dengan tidak bertele-tele.

“Pemda dan HIPETA harus memanfaatkan teknologi digital dalam manajemen organisasi petani, budidaya maupun peningkatan akses pasar melalui pemasaran online. Akhirnya, mari sukseskan motto HIPETA yakni “Petani masa kini, Petani jaya di Negeri sendiri. Jadi Harapan saya HIPETA harus terus bermitra dengan Pemda dan pihak terkait dalam rangka mendorong masyarakat Papua Yang Berjaya di Papua. Sebab petani adalah pahlawan bangsa,” harap Wapres Ma’ruf Amin.[*]
