Bertemu dan melihat kondisi kehidupan sehari-hari  Antonella (8th) dan teman-temannya yang tinggal di kampung 3T (terpencil, terluar, terisolir).

Saya dan tim dari Jakarta terbang bersama pesawat selama enam jam dan tiba di Timika pada pukul 07.00 pagi. Dari bandara langsung menuju tempat penginapan, hanya sarapan sebentar di hotel dan langsung melanjutkan perjalanan dengan mobil selama satu jam ke pelabuhan Puomako.

Di sana (pelabuhan) kami sudah ditunggu perahu berukuran panjang dan sederhana milik nelayan. Perahu itu dilengkapi mesin tempel berkekuatan 40 PK.

Anak-anak muda pendamping  masyarakat kampung (korban limbah tailing PTFI), mengantar kami menuju Kampung Otakwa melalui laut Arafuru. Bersyukur laut tenang tiada ombak yang menakutkan.

Tiga jam lamanya di laut, kamipun tiba di salah satu Kampung. Setelah berbincang dengan Sekretaris Kampung dan masyarakat setempat. Disaat sore jelang gelap, kami memutuskan untuk bergeser ke kampung sebelah dan menginap di sana.

Keesokan harinya, kami pun melanjutkan perjalanan dengan menelusuri sungai sempit berpagar pohon bakau, seharian di tengah bakau, dalam gelap malam ditemani senter kecil dan diguyur hujan lebat.

Dua jam kemudian kami tiba di kampung sebelah (Kampung berikutnya). Di sana kami  menumpang sekedar menghangatkan tubuh di sebelah api unggun yang dibuat masyarakat di depan pondok mereka masing-masing.

Inilah Kampung transit, masyarakat dari kampung-kampung pedalaman di Mimika ketika hendak ke kota Timika. Di kampung itu masyarakat mendirikan pondok-pondok untuk menginap.

Kami boleh memakai pondok mana saja yang kosong, tetapi kemarin malam semua pondok penuh. Dan tidak masalah, kami tidur di teras pondok.

Penghuni pondok bermurah hati lalu meminjamkan terpal besar untuk menutup teras tempat kami tidur dan terpal kecil untuk selimut kami, agar terhindar dari dinginnya angin laut.

Sebelum tidur, wajib memanaskan tubuh di sekitar api buatan masyarakat. Anak-anak muda ini berbaik hati membiarkanku tidur di atas satu-satunya papan kayu di depan api. Sementara mereka lesehan di atas pasir.

Sesudah tubuh terasa lebih hangat, saya bergeser memanjat tangga pondok lalu rebahan sambil menikmati situasi serba terbatas ini.

Tak lama kemudian saya tertidur pulas, tidak kedinginan, tidak ada mimpi. Maklum, belum tidur sejak malam sebelumnya.

Esoknya, kami terbangun jam 05.30 WP, langit mendung, tapi kami harus pamit kepada masyarakat dan melaut lagi kembali ke kota Timika.

Laut sedikit bergelombang, dua jam kami di tengah laut. Sudah sedikit deg-degan karena jam 09.00 janji akan bertemu Bupati dan jajarannya.

Di tengah laut, saat sinyal handphone muncul, kami kontak minta agar pertemuan bisa digeser ke jam 10.00, mereka pun setuju.

Lega rasanya sebab pengalaman dengan suara anak-anak yang kami temui di kampung, wajib kami sampaikan kepada pemerintah daerah (Bupati dan Gubernur).[*]
