Gobai, Pembangunan Dermaga sipu sipu harus dilanjutkan

Mimika, Bumiofinavandu –  Ketua Kelompok Khusus Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Provinsi Papua (Poksus DPR P), mengatakan pembangunan dermaga Sipu Sipu di Distrik Jita, Kabupaten Mimika, Provinsi Papua Tengah harus dilanjutkan.

“Ini demi masyarakat sehingga perlu dilanjutkan untuk difungsikan,” ujar Gobai, Selasa (13/06/2023).

Menurutnya, informasi dari masyarakat di Kampung Sempan bahwa pembangunan dermaga tersebut belum rampung. Namun sudah digunakan sering digunakan oleh masyarakat guna menyandarkan perahu saat air pasang.

Dermaga ini dibagun oleh Pemprov Papua sejak Tahun 2015, 2016, 2017.

“Walaupun menggunakan anggaran tiga Tahun berturut-turut, namun kelihatannya belum jelas,” tuturnya.

Lanjutnya, dermaga tersebut sangat penting bagi masyarakat setempat, sehingga perlu koordinasi Pemprov Papua dan Pemprov Papua Tengah. Sebab Kabupaten Mimika sudah berada di wilayah Provinsi Papua Tengah. Sebab masyarakat dari tiga Distrik yakni Mimika Timur Jauh, Distrik Jita dan Distrik Akimuga selama ini mengeluhkan perjalanan terhalang oleh pendangkalan akibat tailing PT Freeport.

Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian atau pengkajian (survei) oleh pihak-pihak yang berwenang, yakni Kementerian Perhubungan atau melalui Dinas Perhubungan baik Provinsi Papua maupun Kabupaten Mimika.

“Jadi harus koordinasi dua Provinsi, lalu memastikan kondisinya untuk dilanjutkan. Kami harap agar pelabuhan dermaga Sungai Sipu Sipu segera rampung untuk digunakan oleh masyarakat,” harap Gobai.[*]
