Nabire, Bumiofinavandu – Sebanyak 44 Kepala keluarga (KK) di RT 12 Kampung Samabusa, Distrik Teluk Kimi, Nabire Papua terdendam banjir pada Sabtu (18/09/2021) lalu.

“44 kk di sini semua kena (terendam) banjir),” ujar Ketua RT setempat, Ibenas Narek pada Selasa (21/09/2021).

Menurutnya, semua rumah di kompleks itu dihantam banjir, puluhan ternak (babi dan ayam) dibawah arus. Sementara rumah dan isinya terendam, termasuk berkas-berkas penting seperti sertifikat tanah, dokumen kependudukan serta beberapa alat elektronik (laptop) dan beberapa ijasah anak sekolah.

“Semua barang kena banjir,” tutur Narek ditemani beberapa warga di sana.

Banjir kata Dia, terjadi lantaran hutan sudah mau gundul. Pohon dan kayu banyak yang ditebang oleh masyarakat (pesensor kayu), sehingga tidak ada tanah dan pohon yang bisa menyerap air.

Akhirnya, banjir kali ini merupakan musibah terbesar yang dialami Narek dan warganya. sebelumnya tidak pernah terjadi banjir sebesar malam itu walaupun curah hujan lebat.

“Orang sensor kayu digunung sana banyak, kayu besar habis jadi apa yang mau tahan air. Kalau hujan lebat itu biasa, tapi tidak pernah banjir seperti ini,” kata Dia.

Ia kemudian mengumpulkan seluruh warganya lalu gereja dijadikan sasaran tempat tidur untuk ibu dan anak, dan warga sampai saat ini hanya membuat satu dapur umum.

Dan hingga saat ini (21/09), Narek mengakuh, belum mendapatkan bantuan dari Pemkab Nabire kepada warganya.

“Kami tidur di gereja, dapur hanya satu dan ada beberapa orang peduli yang datang antar sembako untuk kami di sini,” ungkapnya.

Salah seorang warga setempat, Onesimus Jingga menambahkan, yang diharapkan warga dari Pemkab Nabire adalah membutuhkan uluran tangan dari Pemerintah. Seperti sembako dan pakaian layak pakai. Permintaan lain dari warga adalah menormalisasi Sungai Zipur yang tak jauh dari pemukiman warga (kurang lebih 10 meter dari rumah penduduk).

Karena Sungai yang berliku-liku, jika intensitas hujan tinggi maka perumahan tentunya terendam banjir.

“Warga masih butuh perhatian, mereka belum berkebun karena masih trauma. Barang di rumah banyak rusak. Lalu, kami juga minta Pemerintah normalisasi dan luruskan Sungai ini karena banyak liku-liku. Kalau lurus pasti rumah aman, dan kalaubisa harus di talud,” harapnya.(*)
